Frequently Asked Questions
What makes infrared saunas different from traditional saunas?
Unlike traditional saunas that heat ambient air to extreme temperatures, infrared sauna technology uses invisible infrared wavelengths that raise your body temperature directly. This allows for deeper tissue penetration at lower, more comfortable air temperatures while delivering therapeutic benefits like muscle relaxation, improved circulation, reduced joint stiffness, muscle recovery, skin renewal, and relief from soreness.
Infrared sauna sessions are also associated with weight-management support, boosted immune function, better blood pressure regulation, and enhanced cardiovascular function.
What are the EMF levels in Sun Home Saunas' infrared saunas?
Our patented heater systems are Vitatech-tested at approximately 0.5 mG, lower than most household appliances. This ensures your sauna therapy sessions are both effective and well-shielded from electromagnetic field exposure.
What electrical requirements are needed for infrared saunas?
Most 1–3 person Solstice models require a dedicated 120V, 20A circuit with a NEMA 5-20R receptacle. The 4-person Solstice 4 requires a dedicated 240V, 20A circuit with a NEMA 6-20R receptacle. The Pod 1 also runs on a dedicated 120V, 20A circuit (NEMA 5-20P plug).
Plan for at least 4 inches of wall clearance on all sides of your Solstice sauna and 12 inches of ceiling clearance above it for proper ventilation and access.
Is the home sauna covered under warranty, and for how long?
Yes. Residential buyers receive a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering cabinetry, with 7 years on heaters and 3 years on controls. The first 90 days include parts, labor, and shipping at no cost, with heaters rated for over 30,000 hours of continuous infrared sauna use.
Can I use HSA/FSA funds to purchase an infrared sauna?
Yes — our infrared wellness devices may qualify for HSA/FSA payment through TrueMed at checkout, providing meaningful pre-tax savings on your home sauna investment. This makes professional-grade infrared therapy more accessible for health-conscious buyers.
