The Pod runs up to 165°F. The Solstice reaches around 145°F, and most owners find 140°F delivers a great session; from room temperature it climbs about 1°F per minute to 120°F and takes roughly two hours to reach its peak.

Q: What electrical requirements are needed for these saunas?

Every sauna in this collection runs on its own dedicated circuit , never a shared household outlet. The Pod and the Solstice 1, 2, and 3 use a dedicated 120V 20A circuit with a NEMA 5-20P plug; the Solstice 4 uses a dedicated 240V 20A circuit with a NEMA 6-20P plug. Other Sun Home lines differ — the Eclipse 2, for example, needs a dedicated 30A circuit — so check the spec sheet for the model you are buying. Allow at least 4 inches of clearance on all sides of a Solstice and 12 inches above it; the Pod needs roughly 20 inches of working room around it during setup. Keep any sauna at least five feet from a pool, hot tub, cold plunge, or other source of water or vapor.

The Two Lines in This Collection

This collection holds two very different ways to get there. The Pod is a single-occupant, 360-degree cabin with a built-in red light panel, chromotherapy, Bluetooth audio, and app control, running up to 165°F in a footprint that fits an apartment. The Solstice is our most accessible full-size line — 1, 2, 3, and 4-person cabins in eco-certified kiln-dried eucalyptus, with a maximum temperature of around 145°F.

Far infrared sauna questions

A traditional sauna heats the air in the room, and the hot air then warms you. An infrared sauna uses invisible infrared light — the same band of the spectrum you feel as warmth from the sun — to raise your body temperature directly.

That lets an infrared session run at a lower air temperature while still producing a full sweat, and it is why people reach for it for muscle relaxation, improved circulation, relief from joint stiffness, muscle recovery, and easing sore muscles. Studies of regular sauna bathing look at circulation and cardiovascular response; sauna use is not a treatment for any condition.

Far-infrared uses only the longest infrared wavelengths, with the most published research on deep heating, sweating, relaxation, and cardiovascular response.
