Refund Timelines and Processing
We understand that once a refund is issued, you want to know exactly when you’ll see the money back in your account. This guide explains how refunds work and what you can expect.
At Sun Home, we prioritize a smooth and transparent experience. All refunds are processed as quickly as possible once approved.
How Refunds Work
When we issue a refund, it goes through a few steps before it reaches your account:
-
We process your refund
Once your refund is approved, we submit it through our system. -
Your payment provider receives it
(e.g., your credit card company, bank, or Affirm) -
Your bank or provider posts the refund
This is when the funds appear in your account.
How Long Do Refunds Take?
Most refunds are completed within 5–10 business days
Here’s a general breakdown:
- Processing on our end: 1–2 business days
- Payment provider processing: 1–3 business days
- Bank processing: 5–10 business days
In some cases, it may take up to 10–15 business days, depending on your bank or provider.
Why Refunds Take Time
Even though we process your refund promptly, the final timing depends on your bank or payment provider. This portion of the process is outside of our control, but we’re always here to help if questions come up along the way.
Where Your Refund Goes
Refunds are always sent back to your original payment method:
- Credit/debit card → back to your card
- Affirm → returned to your Affirm account
Purchases Made with Affirm
If you paid using Affirm, your refund is sent directly back to Affirm, not to your bank account.
- Affirm will adjust your payment schedule or balance accordingly
- For questions about your refund status or payments, you’ll need to contact Affirm directly
What You’ll See on Your Statement
- Refunds may appear as a separate credit, not a cancellation of the original charge
- The exact description depends on your bank or provider

FAQ
How long does it take to receive my refund?
Most refunds are received within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
I was told my refund was processed—where is it?
Once we process a refund, your bank or payment provider still needs time to post it. This is the most common reason for delays.
Can you speed up my refund?
Unfortunately, no. Once a refund is issued, it’s handled by your payment provider (such as your bank, or Affirm).
Will my refund go back to my original payment method?
Yes, all refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout.
I paid with Affirm, how does my refund work?
Your refund is sent back to Affirm, and they will update your loan balance or payment schedule.
For questions about your payments or remaining balance, please contact Affirm support directly.
My card is no longer active, what happens?
In most cases, your bank will typically route the refund to your account. If there are any issues, your bank can provide more details.
Why does the refund look different on my statement?
Some banks show refunds as a separate credit instead of reversing the original charge.
What should I do if I still don’t see my refund?
If it’s been more than 10 business days, we recommend contacting your bank, payment provider, or Affirm first. If you still need guidance, reach out to us.
