What to Expect on Delivery Day

Applies to: All full-size saunas and cold plunges (non-portable, non-inflatable models)

This article covers freight deliveries for our larger wellness products, including infrared saunas, traditional outdoor saunas, and hard-shell cold plunges such as the Sun Home Cold Plunge Pro.

If you ordered a smaller item, such as an infrared blanket or accessories, those ship small parcel via carriers like FedEx, UPS, or USPS. No special preparation is required for those deliveries.

Before Delivery Day

Once your sauna or cold plunge arrives at your local freight terminal, the carrier will call you to schedule a delivery appointment and provide a delivery window. Freight carriers will not arrive unannounced.

Delivery is typically scheduled within a few business days after the shipment reaches your local terminal.

If you need to reschedule, please provide at least a 48 hour notice to the carrier. Failure to provide adequate notice can result in redelivery fees.

Delivery Type: Curbside Freight

All standard deliveries are curbside.

This means:

  • The carrier will unload the pallet from the truck.

  • The pallet will be placed at the end of your driveway.

  • The drivers are not contracted to move the crate into your home, garage, or backyard.

  • Drivers do not unpack, assemble, or install the product.

Once the pallet is on the ground, the customer is responsible for moving the pieces to the final installation location.

In the event the delivery team deems it safe and possible, they may be able to deliver your item as close to your garage as possible.

If you are interested in upgraded room of choice delivery, please contact our support team prior to shipment for availability and pricing.

Preparing Your Space

Because these shipments arrive on a large pallet, preparation is important.

Please ensure:

  • There is a flat, paved surface available for unloading.

  • Your driveway is accessible to a freight truck.

  • If your driveway is steep, narrow, or winding, notify us in advance so we can coordinate appropriately.

  • If there are low-hanging branches that may impede a truck entering your street or driveway, please notify us and send photos so we may coordinate appropriately.

Freight carriers cannot transport pallets up steps. If there are stairs or elevation changes between the curb and your home, you will need to plan accordingly.

We recommend having:

  • At least 2 to 4 adults available to help move the panels or components.

  • A dolly or flat cart for heavier pieces.

Most sauna panels are manageable with 1 to 2 people, but certain components are heavier and require extra help.

Important: Signing for Your Delivery

Someone 18 years or older must be present to receive and sign for the shipment.

Before signing:

  1. Inspect the exterior of the crate carefully.

  2. Note any visible damage directly on the delivery receipt.

  3. If there is any concern, write “Subject to inspection” when signing.

This documentation is required if a freight claim becomes necessary.

If damage is suspected:

  • Take clear photos of the crate and packaging.

  • Open and inspect the contents within 3 days.

  • Email our support team with photos and your order number so we can assist promptly.

If damage is not documented at delivery, it may limit claim eligibility.

If You Are Not Installing Immediately

If you cannot unpack right away:

  • Store the crate indoors, or

  • Place it in a fully covered, dry area protected from moisture.

Leaving the crate exposed to rain, snow, or humidity can cause damage. Damage from environmental exposure is not covered.

Assembly Expectations

Most indoor infrared saunas are designed for straightforward assembly and typically require 2 to 4 people. Many models use a panel-locking system and do not require power tools beyond a screwdriver for minor components.

Outdoor saunas and larger traditional models involve a more comprehensive installation process and may require additional time and support. Some customers choose to work with a contractor, though it is not required.

Cold plunges arrive fully assembled, though setup steps such as positioning, filling, and electrical connection will be required based on your specific model.

For electrical setup, always reference your model’s product page specifications and consult a licensed electrician when required.

Quick Summary Checklist

On delivery day, make sure you:

  • Have clear driveway access.

  • Have 2 to 4 helpers available.

  • Inspect the crate before signing.

  • Note any damage in writing.

  • Store the crate in a dry, protected area if not assembling immediately.

Proper preparation helps ensure your delivery day goes smoothly and gets you one step closer to enjoying your new wellness setup.
